Legislative Committee holds its 15th Meeting
Fifth Meeting of the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms
At its Fifth Meeting, the Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, in the extended composition, and in its capacity of responsible body, has considered the 2016 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro, and the 2016 Status Report on Personal Data Protection and Access to Information, submitted to the Parliament of Montenegro by the Agency for Personal Data Protection and Free Access to Information. Following the discussion, the Committee unanimously supported the 2016 Performance Report of the Protector of Human Rights and Freedoms of Montenegro as well as the 2016 Status Report on Personal Data Protection and Access to Information, and it will submit the Report with Proposal for Conclusions to the Parliament thereof.

Day two of participation of the Parliament of Montenegro’s delegation, headed by President Ivan Brajović, in the Conference of Speakers of EU Parliaments in the capital of Slovakia, was marked by bilateral meetings with the President of the European Parliament, and presidents of parliaments of Slovakia, Estonia and Slovenia, and the Slovak Minister of Foreign Affairs.

The Netherlands will soon end formal procedure of support to Montenegro towards NATO membership
At the meeting of the President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, with the President of the Senate of the Kingdom of the Netherlands, Ms Ankie Broekers-Knol, within the frameworks of the Conference of Speakers of the EU Parliaments, that is held in Bratislava, bilateral relations between the two countries were assesed as excellent, accentuating the continuous support of the Netherlands to achieving strategic foreign policy goals of Montenegro - membership to the NATO and the European Union.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović , will lead the delegation that will participate at the Conference of Speakers of EU Parliaments, to be held on 23 and 24 April 2017 in Bratislava.
