Parliament of Montenegro, 12 April

President of the Parliament Mr Ivan Brajović has sent telegram letters of condolences to Speaker of the House of Representatives of Egypt Mr Ali Abdel-Aal Sayed Ahmed with regard to the attacks on Coptic churches, where dozens of people were killed. The President of the Parliament, also, expressed regret to President of Riksdag of Sweden Mr Urban Ahlin, following Stockholm terrorist attack.

MP Miloš Nikolić, member of the Committee on Political System, Judiciary and Administration, will meet SIGMA delegation (Support for improvement in Governance and Management), on 11 April 2017. The Delegation is assessing the functioning of public administration in Montenegro.

Visit is organised within the “Open Parliament” programme

Chairperson of the Committee Mr Vujica Lazović will meet SIGMA delegation (Support for improvement in Governance and Management), on 11 April 2017. The Delegation is assessing the functioning of public administration in Montenegro, with a focus on budget process.

The Committee started consideration of two proposals for laws

Ovogodišnje zasijedanje posvećeno je realizaciji aktivnosti o potrebi većeg uključivanja žena u javni i politički život, kao i uključivanje mladih pripadnica nacionalnih manjina i Romkinja kako bi se osnažile za bavljenje politikom, što je i prepoznato u Akcionom planu za poglavlje 23, koji je usvojila Vlada.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro Mr Ivan Brajović, who is taking part in the XV Conference of President/Speakers of Parliaments of the Adriatic & Ionian Initiative (AII), today in Ioannina (Greece) delivered speeches on the topics: “Blue Growth in the Adriatic & Ionian Macroregion: needs and opportunities” and “The importance of the parliamentary dimension of the Adriatic & Ionian Initiative”.

This year’s session is dedicated to implementation of activities on the need for greater involvement of women in public and political life, as well as involvement of young members of national minorities and Roma, in order to strengthen their engagement in politics, which has been recognised in the Action Plan for Chapter 23, adopted by the Government.
