Prime Minister’s Hour and Parliamentary Questions

Committee on Human Rights and Freedoms, on its Tenth Meeting, considered the 2016 Annual Report of the National Mechanism for Prevention of Torture with the Report on work conditions and treatment of security officers at the Institution for Enforcement of Criminal Sanctions.

At today’s meeting, the Committee on Tourism, Agriculture, Ecology and Spatial Planning has considered and voted in favour of the Proposal for the Law on Chemicals. The Law was proposed with the view of comprehensive regulation in the field of safe chemical management, particularly in the area of inspection control. The Proposal for the Law elaborates the obligation of all further users of chemicals, as well as obligations of producers.

Two proposals for laws considered

Security and Defence Committee of the Parliament of Montenegro hosted today the regional conference on "Regional Cooperation and Security", which gathered chairmen of the security and defense committees from Serbia, Albania, Bosnia and Herzegovina, Croatia, Macedonia and Slovenia and heads of delegations to the NATO PA.

Chairperson of the Gender Equality Committee Ms Nada Drobnjak today has taken part in the conference "Women in Management in Montenegro - Support to leadership and professional development of women in Montenegro”, organised by the Union of Employers of Montenegro (UPCG) and the International Labour Organisation (ILO), in cooperation with the Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Ministry of Human and Minority Rights, Directorate for Development of Small and Medium Enterprises - Ministry of Economy, and Association of Businesswomen of Montenegro.

President of the Parliament of Montenegro, Mr Ivan Brajović, extended a congratulatory message on the occasion of 22 July, Municipality Day of Šavnik, to the President of the Municipality of Šavnik, Mr Mijomir Vujačić and the President of the Assembly of the Municipality of Šavnik, Ms Nadežda Kotlica.
